The RIOSkagit MOW Tips allow anglers to cover every likely fishing situation and achieve the perfect depth when swinging the fly. Designed specifically for use with Skagit heads on your Spey setup, These Skagit MOW tips can be interchanged throughout the day to get your fly to the desired depth for each pool youfish on the river. This new version features RIO’s new SlickCast coating for extra durability and super slick casting performance.

There are six unique tips that make up the RIO Skagit MOW series. Each is designed to get your fly to a different level in the water. If you aren’t sure which tips are best for you, start with the “5ft Floating w/ 5ft Sinking” and the “10ft Sinking”. You will have need for each and every one of them, but these two are probably the best to start with for most steelhead rivers. Or, you can buy all of the MOW tips in our Skagit MOW Tip Kit.

“Light” SkagitMOW Tips feature T-8 material with a sink rate of 6-7″ per second.Light Skagit MOW tips are white for floating portions and dark red for the fast sinking T-8 sectionsfor easy identification. The Light MOW Tips are designed for lightly weighted flies and are ideal for Skagit lines of 475 grains and less. There are six unique tips that make up the series from 10-feet of full floating to 12.5 feet of full T-8 extra fast sinking material.

“Medium”Skagit MOW Tips feature T-11, with a sink rate of 7-8″ per second, for the sinking material.The Medium sized MOW tips have light green floating sections and dark green T-11 material for the sinking portion, for easy identification. The Medium MOW Tips are designed for heavily weighted flies and are ideal for Skagit lines between 475 and 575 grains. There are six unique tips that make up the seriesfrom 10-feet of full floating to 12.5 feet of full T-11 extra fast sinking material.

“Heavy”Skagit MOW Tips feature T-14, with a sink rate of 8-9″ per second, for the sinking material. Theheavy sized MOW tips havelightblue floating sections and darkblue T-14 material for the sinking portion, for easy identification. The Heavy MOW Tips are designed for the large flies and are ideal for Skagit lines of 575 grains and more. There are six unique tips that make up the seriesfrom 10-feet of full floating to 12.5 feet of full T-14extra fast sinking material.
