This unique pattern is a shanked, collared fly with a trailing hook that’s not quite a nymph and not quite a streamer. Because of this, this large buggy nymph-like fly can be fished a variety of ways. Is it a nymph? Is it a swinging bug? What matters is that you get into the water!
