A perfect flatwing saddle is unique, specific, and hard to find. We offer custom dyed saddles that are made from birds exclusively grown byEwingfeathers, bred to grow our specific feather shape for tying flatwing style flies.
Each saddle is custom dyed, hand picked, and meticulously graded to ensure the best quality possible. We would never sell a saddle we wouldn’t purchase or tie with ourselves.
Grading: The higher the grading, the fuller the saddle and longer, larger feathers in true “sword shape” to make for flatwing style ties.
