The 2X-short shank is perfect for flies like the elk hair caddis by Al Troth, as well as egg patterns, spiders, tricos, and extended body dry flies. The hooks are made of the finest high-carbon steel, which is hardened and tempered to an exacting formula that makes for a long point life and a very strong hook.
