These zonkers are cut across the grain of the hide giving the tyer a unique look and movement in the water. Great for palmering or wrapping on flies like leeches and other saltwater and freshwater flies. The hair flairs off the hide at an angle and will lay to the rear of the hook, creating a somewhat more streamlined form.
