Jig hook pictured with a slotted tungsten bead. The slot of the bead runs inline with the hook shank, which keeps the bead round in profile, unlike a countersunk bead which isn’t perfectly round.

Jig Hook with counter sunk bead- notice how the flat side at the back of the countersunk beadleaves a large gap compared to the rounder slotted bead. This gap is hard to fill with material. Since more material is missing in countersunk beads, they are not as heavy as the slotted beads.
